Accessibility statement.

Zeitgeist Labs wants everyone to be able to use this website – regardless of impairments and assistive technology. This statement applies to zeitgeistlabs.ai.

Last updated:

Accessibility also means being understood.

For us, accessibility goes beyond our website. We want as many people as possible to be able to interact with our AI voice systems, including people with speech and communication difficulties who are often not reliably understood by today’s technology. That’s why we develop and test our own approaches to making these systems more accessible. Early trials with people with disabilities have given us valuable insights, which we plan to share in a report. We welcome collaboration with organisations, researchers and experts in accessible communication to help make voice AI more inclusive.

Compliance status

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549. This website is partially compliant with these requirements. We list the known limitations in the next section.

What our check of 2 October 2026 confirmed:

  • All links, buttons, form fields, tabs and expandable questions can be reached and operated with the keyboard. The keyboard focus is visible while you do so.
  • Every page has a title, a main heading, marked-up regions and a skip link to the content. The automated test found no errors in the markup of headings, regions, forms, tabs and expandable questions.
  • Text and background have a contrast of at least 4.5:1. We list the exceptions in the next section.
  • The pages can be enlarged to 200% and read on a screen 320 pixels wide without the whole page having to be scrolled sideways. We list one exception in the next section. Rows of cards and tab bars are scrolled sideways on narrow screens.
  • If you have set “Reduce motion” in your system, you see the finished image instead of animations and changing content.
  • Form fields have visible labels. Errors are reported as text next to the field, not by colour alone.

Non-accessible content

The following content is not yet fully accessible:

  • Moving content without a pause button: On the home page, the example questions in the input field, the reference cards, the disciplines in the “About” section and the four animations in the “How we work” section change on their own. The cards stop for as long as the mouse pointer or the keyboard focus is on them, the disciplines only under the mouse pointer. There is no button to stop them yet. With the system setting “Reduce motion”, all of this content stays still.
  • Animations in the “How we work” section: The four animations are illustrations. Their content is given as text beside them, but the individual frames are not described. While an animation runs, text in it fades in and out and at times has too little contrast.
  • Contrast of individual elements: On the “References” page, the number in the selected tab has a contrast of about 3.7:1. The borders and lines of the form fields have a contrast of less than 3:1 against the background.
  • Privacy notice on very narrow screens: At a width of 320 pixels, the heading of the “Privacy” page is wider than the screen. The page has to be scrolled sideways there.
  • Logos of clients and institutions: The logos of the institutions are labelled with their names; on the reference cards the name appears beside them as text. The logos are image files and can become blurred at high magnification.
  • Languages: The website is currently available in German only. We do not yet offer content in Easy Language (Leichte Sprache) or in German Sign Language.

The interviews with our AI interviewers take place on separate pages. This statement does not apply to them; we are working on their accessibility separately.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 2 October 2026. It is based on a self-assessment of the same day: an automated test with axe-core and a keyboard test on 16 pages of the website, each at the width of a desktop screen and of a phone. In addition, we checked the pages at a width of 320 pixels, at 200% magnification and with the “Reduce motion” setting.

We have not yet tested the website with a screen reader. Automated tests find only some of the possible barriers; there may therefore be others that we do not yet know of. We review this statement with every major change to the website, and at least once a year.

Report a barrier
