“What drives innovation in companies, and what holds it back?”
The project
The institute wants to understand what actually moves organisations in the region to take on innovation, and what holds them back. What triggers it, and what are the motives? Where are the obstacles? And when do outside formats such as workshops, networks or support programmes become relevant?
Answering that takes the views of decision-makers in mid-sized companies, start-ups, public administration and research: people whose diaries rarely leave room for a conventional interview appointment. Zeitgeist Labs is therefore developing a qualitative approach that fits around their working day. They can take part by phone or online, whenever it suits them. The voice systems used make high-quality interviews possible in line with data protection rules.
The interactive Intelligence Dashboard brings together the experiences from companies, start-ups, public administration and research in real time and makes them systematically comparable. It shows more than what is needed. The institute can test new workshop content and support offers against what the regional ecosystem has told it, and turn the findings straight into decisions about its programmes.
